The characterisation of geosynthetic interface friction by means of the inclined plane test

چکیده

The paper focuses on the evaluation of shear strength in conditions low normal stress various geosynthetic-geosynthetic interfaces, which are typical landfill cover systems, by means inclined plane test, with aim studying friction mobilisation relation to kinematic behaviours. results three different methods evaluate angle were analysed, together sensitivity interfaces wear effect and influence state hydration. showed very responses stress, involved main types sliding mechanisms, referred as sudden, gradual uneven sliding. Another outcome observed was that cannot always be properly characterised following procedure proposed European standard for soil-geosynthetic (EN ISO 12957–2), since actual mobilised behaviour should taken into consideration.
